Accessibility statement

Last updated: 25 October 2026

This statement applies to wheelhouse.software, run by WheelHouse Software Ltd. We build accessible services for our clients, and we hold this website to the same standard: the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Using this website

We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example:

  • moving content, like the scrolling tiles and logo strip, has a button to pause it
  • if you've asked your device to reduce motion, looping and scroll animations stop and content appears in place
  • a "skip to main content" link is the first thing you reach with a keyboard
  • images that carry information have text descriptions, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers

AbilityNet (opens in a new tab) has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website aren't fully accessible:

  • the 15-second video on the Our approach page has a soundtrack but no captions or transcript
  • the booking calendar on our home and contact pages is provided by iClosed, a third party, and we haven't been able to test it fully

If you can't use the booking calendar, email hello@wheelhouse.software and we'll arrange a call another way.

Feedback and contact information

If you find a problem with this website, or need any of its information in a different format, email hello@wheelhouse.software. Tell us the page and what went wrong, and we'll get back to you.

Enforcement procedure

WheelHouse Software isn't a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 don't apply to this website. We follow the same standard anyway. If you're not happy with how we respond to a complaint about accessibility, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (opens in a new tab).

Technical information about this website's accessibility

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 AA, because of the issues listed below.

Non-accessible content

  • The video on the Our approach page has a soundtrack but no captions, transcript or audio description. This may fail WCAG 2.2 success criteria 1.2.2 (captions, prerecorded) and 1.2.5 (audio description, prerecorded). The text on the same page covers what the video shows.
  • The iClosed booking calendar is third-party content that we don't build or control. We haven't fully tested it against WCAG 2.2 AA. You can always book by email instead.

How we tested this website

We last tested this website on 25 October 2026. We ran automated checks with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 A and AA on our main pages, in both the dark and light colour schemes and with reduced motion, and fixed the issues they found.

Automated tools find only some accessibility problems. We haven't yet completed a full manual audit with a keyboard and screen readers, so there may be issues we don't know about. If you find one, please tell us.
